DMU has been teaching computing for over 50 years and we have a number of courses that are accredited by professional bodies such as BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT. We also have links with renowned companies such as Hewlett Packard (HP), Deloitte, IBM, BT and Airbus UK. Our excellent facilities include Game Development Studios, specialist Forensic and Security laboratories, Computer Science laboratories and an Advanced Mobile Robotics and Intelligent Agents laboratory.

Our computing courses offer a work placement. This is an optional 12 months, added to your course, in which you work full-time. This provides you with the opportunity to gain work experience, enhance your skills and improve your employability. Your placement will be paid and relevant to your course. The fee to undertake a placement is £750. Places are competitive and the outcome is decided by the employer and no student is guaranteed a placement.
