Lecturer in Health & Social Care

JOB DESCRIPTION

Our client is looking to recruit Health and Social Care lecturer to teach HND courses. This post is to start in September and will be on a full time basis. The college has an established Social Sciences Faculty in place so you would be joining a well organised department, with good resources and facilities. The college is keen to meet lecturers after the half term break. Being able to offer Sociology is an advantage but not essential. Health and Social Care is a popular subject at the college.

REQUIREMENTS

Please note that one of the essential requirements for this role is clinical or nursing vocational experience prior to teaching.

The successful candidate for the Health and Social Care Lecturer will have:

A UK recognised teaching qualification such as a PGCE, DTLLS or Cert ED (PTLLS, CTTLS will do)
Experience in delivering Health and Social Care at BTEC Level 5 (desirable)
A clinical/nursing vocational background previous to teaching (desirable)
A degree related to Health and Social Care (desirable)

RESPONSIBILITIES

Delivering Health and Social Care BTEC Level 5
Providing tutorial and pastoral support for students across college
Developing and delivering on lesson plans to increase the learning experience for the students
